Hallo zusammen. Hello everyone.
Stereotypes. Klischees. We have to deal with them all the time. Who does not know it, the stereotype of the German with his or her all weather jacket or gear, standing at the traffic lights and waiting. And waiting. And waiting. For the green man to appear. In Germany there is a fine for crossing the road with red lights on. Myself I am not one of those who would wait at a junction at a straight road with no cars to be seen for hundreds of metres. Unless…children are present. This is what actually annoys me in Ireland. One of the very few things if any other ones at all. People seem to forget to children are still learning. They copy adults. People save sometimes only seconds when crossing red lights. Cars and cyclists do it as well. Chancing it. When kids get run over. Teenagers even. Who is responsible? Is it only them or maybe adults setting a bad example? Food for thought…
Great article, Danke!
